Logging Fishing & Whaling

Yuin people maintain a special relationship with sea creatures. Fishing is an important aspect of life. Aboriginal men worked in fishing, logging and whaling. Their superior cultural knowledge was integral to the success of the industries.

Aboriginal men were often used for this physical labour.

Growing up, the boys worked in the timber industry.
