Educators, Elders

Judy Norris is a Yuin woman who is widely recognised for her strong commitment to Aboriginal health, community wellbeing, and social justice. As a current Director on the board of Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health & Community Services, she contributes to shaping culturally appropriate health and social services for Indigenous communities across the Far South Coast of NSW from Eden through to Batemans Bay.

Through Katungul, Judy supports a broad suite of services including general medical and dental care, maternal and infant health, specialist outreach, social and emotional wellbeing, and culturally safe counselling. Her leadership helps ensure that Aboriginal people in the region have access to holistic, community-controlled healthcare and support not only for physical health but for social, emotional, and cultural wellbeing as well.

In addition to her work with Katungul, Judy has engaged with local and regional community-welfare initiatives. Judy has served as Aboriginal-Focus worker for Southern Women’s Group, prioritising strong engagement with Aboriginal families and communities to support social welfare and family violence prevention efforts.

Judy Norris brings lived experience, cultural strength, and compassionate advocacy to her roles. Her dedication helps build stronger, more connected communities where health, wellbeing and culture are affirmed and supported across Yuin Country on the South Coast.
