Forced Labour
Domestic service was a role inflicted upon Aboriginal men and women for nearly a century. Paid little to nothing, Aboriginal women worked as forced domestic servants and Aboriginal men were farm labourers and stockmen.
Minimum two years of domestic service, and started as young as 12 years.
He wasn't allowed to sleep in the house. He slept in the cold old cow shed.
